Harlesden
The regeneration of Harlesden is one of the most remarkable transformations that is taking place in London today. Soon to be the main London interchange between High Speed Two and Crossrail – Harlesden now has aspirations for the first time since it was built in the 19th Century where the future was steam powered.

The area always had the most classic housing stock, period properties with generous room sizes and some grey fronted stucco villas. Some of these properties are fabulous value for money and as it rubs shoulders with loftier suburbs such as Queens Park, Kensal and North Notting Hill new residents are moving in and the prices are rising. There are some good local schools including Maple Walk and Harlesden Primary School (as mentioned in The Good Schools Guide). Transport links include Willesden Junction and Harlesden on the Bakerloo Line taking you into Central London in 20 minutes plus the Overground to Euston. Green spaces include the fabulous Roundwood Park with its super café/bistros.
